About Boards Academy
Boards Academy is a learning library and simulator for medical board exams, built by a board-certified physician for candidates in the months before their exam week. The first library covers the two components of the ABA APPLIED Examination: the Standardized Oral Examination and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination.
How the pages are built
Every topic page follows the same structure, because the exam rewards the same structure in every answer: why examiners ask it, the 60-second consultant answer, the decision points with the reason for each, the complication the examiner will inject, the pitfalls that cost points, a set of rapid "why" questions, and the numbers you are expected to say without hesitation. Pages are 600–900 words by rule.
Topic map
Topics are tiered by how often they appear in stems and additional topics. Tier 1 is written first. OSCE topics carry the year the content outline adds them.
Feedback
This is an early build published to collect feedback. If a page is wrong, incomplete, or not how your examiners framed it, email feedback.
Independence
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the American Board of Anesthesiology or any certifying board, and contains no actual examination material. Every scenario is original.
